New Hall Dedication
Dedication of the new hall, with laying of cornerstone, was on June 20, 1981 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Otto Cox, who had held an' "A" certificate in proficiency in Masonry for more than fifty years, is donating his certificate to be placed in this cornerstone, and dedicated to Sunset Lodge No. 57.
In March, 1981 this lodge held a school of instruction, participated in by the Nowata and Delaware lodges, for three evenings, With Brother Art Lawver of Bartlesville as instructor. In April they attended the district school in Bartlesville.
The lodge hall and facilities are used the first four Monday evenings by the Masons and Eastern Stars, and when a fifth Monday occurs, a family pot luck dinner is hosted jointly by Masons and Stars, and is usually well attended. Special functions are also held at this time, such as pin awards, and recognizing special achievements.
